The Warsaw Marathon (Maraton Warszawski) has run in the Polish capital every year since 1979, making it the country's oldest annual marathon. The course is a flat loop starting and finishing on Świętokrzyska Street at the Palace of Culture and Science, passing the Royal Route through Nowy Świat and Krakowskie Przedmieście, crossing the Poniatowski Bridge, and running by PGE Narodowy stadium. World Athletics has awarded the race an Elite Label, one of the higher tiers in its road race ranking system. The 2026 edition, the 48th, is scheduled for September 27 with a 9:00 AM start and a 6 hour 30 minute cutoff.
