Race Info
The Virginia Creeper Marathon is held each April on the Virginia Creeper Trail in Abingdon, Virginia, and is a USATF-certified Boston qualifier. The course starts and finishes at the Abingdon Trailhead on Green Springs Road and covers two out-and-back segments of the trail, a former railroad bed with a flat to gentle grade, a soft running surface and a few wooden trestles. Runners pass the Watauga Trailhead three times and Alvarado Station twice, and both have car access for spectators. The State of Franklin Track Club hosts the race and can cap the field at 100 runners. Source
