Race Info
The SwissCityMarathon runs through Lucerne, Switzerland, each year on the last Sunday of October, starting and finishing near the Swiss Museum of Transport on Lake Lucerne. Since 2025 the marathon has followed a single-lap course south along the lake through Horw and Hergiswil to a turnaround at Alpnachstad, then back through Lucerne's old town past the Chapel Bridge and the KKL convention centre to the finish. First held in 2007 with more than 5,500 finishers, the race drew over 13,000 finishers across all distances in 2024.
