Race Info
The Starved Rock Country Marathon takes place each May in Ottawa, Illinois, alongside a half marathon, a 10K and a 5K on the same weekend. The marathon starts and finishes at the corner of LaSalle Street and Jefferson Street in downtown Ottawa, and the course runs along the Illinois River through Starved Rock State Park, passing its sandstone bluffs. The half marathon starts separately, inside the state park itself, rather than downtown. The race returns for its 12th edition in 2027.
