Race Info
The Millinocket Marathon and Half Marathon is run in early December in Millinocket, Maine, with no entry fee; runners are encouraged to donate to cover race costs. Both distances use a USATF-certified 13.1-mile loop from Veterans Memorial Park, one lap for the half and two for the marathon. The loop climbs on paved Poplar Road out of town, follows about six miles of gravel on the privately owned Golden Road, then returns on pavement along Millinocket Lake Road. The marathon is certified as a Boston, New York City and Chicago qualifier, and the 2025 edition had 167 marathon finishers and 2,137 half marathon finishers. Source
