Maple Leaf Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential, big temp swing
A cool 48°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temps will climb significantly to 65°F by later miles, so expect fading conditions as the race progresses. Light winds shouldn't be a major factor for pacing.

Race Info
The Maple Leaf Marathon runs on a loop course around Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont, starting and finishing near the lake's clubhouse on Clubhouse Road. The full marathon covers five laps of the roughly five-mile loop plus a short out-and-back, on open roads with rolling hills; the half marathon runs two laps plus a shorter out-and-back. It is the first of three races in STAR Racing's New England Challenge I, a three-day series that continues with the Granite State Marathon in Nashua, New Hampshire, and the Pine Tree Marathon in Portland, Maine, letting runners complete three state marathons on three consecutive days. The course is USATF certified and the race is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
