Race Info
The Halbmarathon Altötting is a half marathon held each September in Altötting, a town in southeastern Bavaria near the Austrian border. The course starts and finishes at the intersection of Burghauser Strasse and Traunsteiner Strasse, running mostly on paved forest paths through the Altötting Forest, which shield runners from wind. Günther Vogl of Top Sport & Werbung has organized the race since its first edition in 1992, and organizers market it as one of the fastest natural-surface half marathons in the world due to its flat profile.
