Race Info
The H.C. Andersen Marathon runs through the streets of Odense, Denmark, named for the city's most famous native son. Marathon and half marathon runners start together at Odense Idraetspark and cover a flat loop course twice, finishing on the track inside Odense Atletikstadion. First held in 2000, the race added a half marathon in 2006 and a 10K, "Run the Last 10," in 2017. In 2019 the race was recognized as having the fastest average marathon finishing time in the world, at 3:51:22.
