Great North Run
Race Day Weather
Warm start, tailwind advantage
Runners will face a temperature rise from 63°F at the start to 67°F by race end, with humidity at 73%. A tailwind will assist from miles 3 to 12, providing a beneficial boost on the gently rolling terrain. However, crosswinds in the early and later miles may require extra focus on pacing. Hydration is crucial; runners should adjust their pace conservatively to manage the warmth effectively.
