The Ballarat Marathon is Australia's newest marathon, starting and finishing at the historic Ballarat Town Hall. Runners tackle two laps of a completely bitumen, 21.1 km course that loops through Ballarat Central and offers scenic views around Lake Wendouree. The course is certified by AIMS, has a total elevation gain of just 98 meters, and is known for its flat and fast terrain.
