Race Info
The Elroy Lions Club has hosted the Apple Dumpling Day Races in Elroy, Wisconsin, since 2007, timed to the town's Apple Dumpling Days festival on the first Saturday after Labor Day. A half marathon joined the original 5K in 2008, and a USATF-certified marathon was added in 2013. The course runs largely out-and-back along the Omaha Trail and 400 Trail rail-trails, passing through a lit, 875-foot railroad tunnel built in 1876. The Lions Club donates all labor, so profits go entirely to local, state, national, and international charities. Source
