3 Country Marathon
Race Day Weather
Cool start — fast day potential
A cool 46°F at the start line is ideal for fast times — expect to warm up quickly once you're moving. Temperatures rising to 55°F through the course will gradually increase perceived effort in the second half. Moderate humidity at 70% is worth noting for effort level, especially in later miles.

The 3 Country Marathon starts on the harbor promenade of Lindau, an island town on Lake Constance in Bavaria, Germany, and finishes at the lake stage stadium in Bregenz, Austria. The course runs along the lakeshore and loops through St. Margrethen, Switzerland, crossing three national borders over 42.195 km. First held in 2001 and now sponsored by Sparkasse, the race has grown into one of the region's largest marathons, with a companion half marathon, quarter marathon and relay drawing more than 11,000 combined participants in recent years.
